CGIS Lunchtime Talk: Workshop on Objects and Bodies in the History of Gender and War

Join us for our third lunchtime talk of the academic year on 'Objects and Bodies in the history of gender and war'.

This interactive discussion workshop will be led by Susan Grayzel (visiting fellow at All Souls and Professor at Utah State University). The workshop will explore some ways in which objects or material culture, in relationship with the body, offer us new ways to think about how we write histories of gender, through new research on gender and 20th century war.

This is the third in a series of fortnightly lunchtime talks in Michaelmas (weeks 2, 4, 6 and 8) to examine critically together the concepts that are at the heart of Oxford History Faculty's Centre for Gender, Identity, and Subjectivity (CGIS).

Sandwiches will be available from just before 1pm. All very welcome!

Tuesday 19 November
