CGIS Workshop on new research on gender, identity, and subjectivity

Join us for an informal workshop to explore new research relating to histories of gender, identity, and subjectivity. This is an opportunity to enable current graduate students or early career researchers at Oxford to share research or ideas that they are currently working on with the CGIS community.

This week we will be discussing new research including:

Barnabas Balint (Magdalen) - 'Jewish Youth During the Holocaust in France: Communities, Identities and Adult Roles'

Beth Kitson (Balliol) - 'The Lives of Irish Women in the Late Nineteenth Century: A Transnational and Comparative Approach'

And any of us who wish to share questions in our research that we are currently grappling with!

If you would like to join the workshop or might like to talk about an aspect of your current Masters, DPhil or post-doctoral research with the CGIS community at another workshop, please email cgis@history.ox.ac.uk. Each speaker will talk for c. 5 minutes and can share powerpoint slides or image, followed by informal discussion.

All very welcome! If you'd like to attend, please email cgis@history.ox.ac.uk, and we will send details for the virtual meeting.

Tuesday 19 May
