Online and Oxford Quaker Meeting House, 43 St. Giles’, Oxford, OX1 3LW
Have you studied an exciting, overlooked topic or figure in women's, gender, and queer history that you'd love to share with the world? Would you like to meet other students and researchers with similar interests? CGIS will be running a Wikipedia Edit-a-thon on Monday 14th June, 2-5pm at the Friends’ Meeting House in Oxford. You are welcome to join in person or online. We aim to increase the historical representation of women and LGBTQ+ figures on Wikipedia. We would also love to increase the number of articles on prominent figures in the histories of gender, of women, and of sexuality. All are welcome--the organisers will give a short introduction to editing Wikipedia to help you get started.
