LGBTQ+ History at Oxford is a dynamic and growing community. In 2023, we will welcome the Jonathan Cooper Chair of the History of Sexualities, the first fully endowed specialist post of this type in the UK. This year, a new seminar series, the Trans and Queer History Graduate Seminar provides space for scholars to think with queer and trans methodologies in their own work. The convenors include ECRs, graduates, and undergraduates, and events will run throughout the academic year to cater to scholars at different stages.
This term, graduate and undergraduate students are presenting work-in-progress. We welcome requests to present over the coming terms, with the hope that the network can offer insight and support in developing current projects. Also running this term are our more informal discussion sessions.
